RETL- Instructor_ Business Communications (Faculty position, Non-tenure Track)
The Department of Retailing at the University of South Carolina, housed within the College of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management (HRSM), invites applications for a full-time, 9-month position at the instructor level, to teach courses in professional communication in one of the nation’s premier programs. This course is taught to a cross section of majors inside the college and focuses on the theory, processes, and applications of professional/business communications. Responsibilities include teaching core curriculum courses in Professional Communication/Business Communication to all majors in the College of HRSM; providing mentoring and guidance to students in the college; collaborating with other college faculty and staff in support of the general mission of the unit; and serving on department, college, or university committees as needed.

Required Education and Experience: Earned master’s degree or higher in business, business education, communication, English or a related discipline and five (5) or more years teaching experience by the start date of employment. Primary teaching interests in Professional Communication/Business Communication, a demonstrated ability to deliver high quality classroom instruction in-person and online.
Preferred Qualification: More than five (5) years of teaching experiences in the field of business, business education, communication, English or a related discipline.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
