Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The med/surg pulmonary registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the med/surg pulmonary department. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for the highly vulnerable patients.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

• All External Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Current California RN license
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent acute care experience preferred
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
