Job Description
- Responds to incoming calls to the Police Department, routing and logging calls as appropriate, gathering and managing incident-related data, and arranging for the dispatch of officers to the scene of the complaint
- Understands how tasks/activities relate to others on the team and how the team integrates with other related, similar teams
- Organizes and completes structured assignments (e.g., emergency and non-emergency complaints) according to priorities
- Gathers and relays information according to standard processes and procedures
- Maintains lists and logs, preparing records and reports as requested
- Provides solutions to problems in situations that may be atypical or infrequently occurring
- Evaluates and selects solutions from established options/procedures
- Impacts team through the quality of the services or information provided
- Utilizes working knowledge and learned skills to perform various activities for the job
- Possesses basic knowledge of specific processes and procedures needed to perform assignments within own work area
- Communicates through the regular exchange of information, ranging from routine to complex; ensures objectivity and sensitivity in communications are applied

Shift
40 hours, rotating shifts
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience are required, from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $17.50 - $20.30
Grade: GGS 006
