Job Description
The Shared Business Services Center (SBSC) is seeking customer service focused individuals to join its team of specialists! We provide a hybrid remote working environment in which you will work up to 80% of the week from home, while reporting to campus at least one day per week. Essential Duties:
Travel specialists are responsible for travel financial support within the Shared Services Center. This financial support includes payment processing, inputting financial data into databases, tracking payments, maintaining financial documentation, and processing and assisting with travel claims. Travel specialists are also responsible for daily travel card expenses, reimbursement support, and processing reimbursements from the OU Foundation. These responsibilities include preparing and tracking employee expense reports, making travel arrangements for OU students and guests, and allocating expenses to the appropriate chart fields. As needed, this position will also provide accounts payable support, including inputting invoices into Peoplesoft for payment. Travel specialists will perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, AND:
- 18 months experience in accounting/bookkeeping or related field.
Skills:
- Good oral, written and organization skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Proficient on spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Certifications: None
Advertised Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing.
- Engage in repetitive motion.
- Use of computer and calculator.
- Ability to follow written and oral directions, hand/finger dexterity to operate computer.
Departmental Preferences:
- University experience.
- Associate or bachelor's degree.
Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
