The Student Centers & Campus Activities (SCCA) at Rowan University has 3 openings for incoming graduate students who want to join our professional team. We are seeking responsible, motivated, and flexible individuals who can work in a dynamic environment. This experience is great training for individuals who seek a career in higher education and student affairs. The positions below offer hands-on experience in the areas of: event planning and execution, facilities, supervision, marketing, contracting, budgeting, collaboration, assessment, and evaluation.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree and be enrolled as a full-time graduate students enrolled in a masters-level graduate program at Rowan University. The graduate assistantship is contingent upon enrollment in a graduate program. Preference is given to students enrolled in the Higher Education Administration program and who will be committed to a two-year contract. Enrollment in the Higher Education Administration program is preferred; however, not required. These positions require up to 25 hours weekly to be divided between office and programming hours (will require some weekend and late night hours.) These positions are 12-month positions.
The positions include graduate coordinators for:
- Rowan After Hours & Special Events
- Marketing
- The Game Room & Esports
Anticipated Start Date: June 1, 2026
Length of Employment: 1 year term (June 2026-May 2027), a 2nd year appointment (June 2027-May 2028) contingent on performance evaluation, satisfactory academic progress, and conduct standards
All the Graduate Coordinator positions have the same compensation. The compensation package is below:
- Full tuition waiver for masters-level graduate programs, excluding medical/professional graduate programs (in and out of state), not including fees. Funding is up to 36 credit hours during a two year term, funding beyond 18 credit hours per fiscal year will be reviewed by the Director
- On-campus furnished apartment in the Townhouse Community Complex
- $13,500 stipend per year
- $500 on your Rowan Card per semester, which can be used for books and food
- Professional development funds can be made available upon request per budget allotment
- Graduate Coordinator parking permit provided
- Total graduate coordinator package is over $43,000 per year

Priority application status is given to candidates who will be enrolled in the Higher Education Administration graduate program. Priority is also given to candidates who anticipate being in the role for two years.
