Job Description
The Student Financial Aid Office has an opening for a Scholarships Coordinator. Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Manage our annual scholarship applications through our scholarship platform (i.e., Scholarship Universe) and serve as the primary liaison with the academic units across campus with regard to scholarship awarding
• Compile, submit and summarize data requests on scholarship related information submitted by various areas across campus in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate knowledge and eligibility requirements of all federal, state, and institutional aid programs to students/parents, donors, and faculty/staff.
• Works in conjunction with a co-coordinator to assist the Sr. Assistant Director of Scholarships on all aspects of internal and external scholarship processing, including finding efficiencies and testing of new processes.
• Serve as the contact for maintenance and implementation of changes for scholarships related to myZou functions.
• Oversee scholarship programs available at MU and the other three campuses, determine award amounts, track recipients and coordinate with Advancement annually on available funding.
• Monitor EFT transmissions, assist with the reconciliation process for private scholarships and other outside funding received by the scholarship area.
• Serve as backup and provide support to other staff in the office and other duties as assigned.
• Assist on a scheduled basis with student customer service contact duties.

Shift
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
2-3 years’ experience in a higher education setting. Financial Aid experience is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $19-$23 per hour
Grade: GGS-008
