School Compliance Analyst
Job Description
The School Compliance Analyst works under a specific school's direction to complete required documentation for both state-based approval agencies and programmatic accreditors. The analyst works with academic and school personnel to ensure reports required by external regulators (e.g., self-studies, annual reports, ad hoc reports) are accurately completed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develops and updates policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external laws and regulations.
- Investigates complaints or allegations of non-compliance, suggesting steps to address and prevent future violations.
- Prepares annual and ad hoc reports to maintain programmatic authorization including completing documentation to obtain approval by states' programmatic approving agencies (e.g., boards, departments, commissions).
- Evaluates planned or implemented changes in the standards and requirements of local, state, regional, and/or national approval agencies.
- Works with internal stakeholders to obtain, compile, and maintain data required to complete external reports.
- Produces high-quality work on short deadlines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of authorization, accreditation, and professional licensure in higher education.
- Technological competence with MS Office Suite, Salesforce and Smartsheet.
- Interpersonal relationship skills (social-emotional intelligence) of confidence, focus, ethics, and accountability as demonstrated by checks with multiple layers of references.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate complex analyses and discussions into written documentation.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple competing projects and deadlines.
- Strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Sensitivity to and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
