Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
You will lead and develop a small technical team within the School of Mathematics and Statistics while setting and delivering platform strategy aligned to UC’s Digital Strategy and enterprise architecture. You will manage systems, roadmaps, budgets, and vendor relationships ensuring platforms are reliable, secure, scalable, and delivering measurable value.
Working closely with Digital Services, academic leaders, and external partners, you will oversee lifecycle delivery, champion user-centred and accessible design, and ensure enhancements are smoothly implemented with strong governance and change management practices.
Mōu | Who You Are
You are a senior digital platform or product leader, or an experienced systems administrator with demonstrated success managing complex platforms in medium to large organisations. You combine strategic thinking with delivery focus, commercial acumen, and strong people leadership.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience in advanced product or platform management in a complex operating environment
- Experience in delivering digital innovation to improve teaching and/or learning experiences
- Proven experience building collaborative and meaningful relationships within an organisation
- Aptitude to see the wider organisational implications of product and customer experience activities, while thinking critically and creatively
- Experience developing and managing platform roadmaps, business cases, budgets, and vendor contracts
- Experience overseeing platform reliability, service performance, and lifecycle management
Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will work closely with the Head of School, Digital Services teams, faculty leaders, and student representatives to align digital priorities and platform investments. You will collaborate with external vendors and sector networks, acting as a strategic advocate for the School’s digital needs while contributing to the University’s broader digital ecosystem.
