About the Role

The post-holder will assist with providing a high standard of student support to all taught programme students. They are responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services to staff and students whilst improving the overall student experience. They are also responsible for the planning and implementation of Welcome Week and the Student Handbook, as well as leading on Student Support initiatives and provisions.

About You

The successful candidate will be Educated to degree level in a relevant field or have the equivalent experience. They will have significant experience of working in Higher Education specifically within an administrative department for teaching and learning. They will have experience of dealing effectively with people face-to-face with a customer-oriented approach, and they will have thorough knowledge of and adherence to academic regulations pertaining to extenuating circumstances and understanding of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to student support.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The Queen Mary School of Law is one of five schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School is made up of two organisational units: the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). Established in 1965, the Department of Law has a well-established reputation for innovative research in law, legal practice and theory. Key research areas include jurisprudence, human rights, state crime, law and globalisation, immigration, policing and criminal justice, labour law, environmental law and climate justice, private law, and law and social theory.
