Offer Description
Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection invites applications for a scientific assistant position in the Department of Radiation Hygiene based on employment contract for an indefinite period. The candidates are expected to have extensive knowledge of radiochemical procedures, as well as to be involved in scientific research, participation and/or leadership in research projects, gaining financial support for scientific researches, publishing research results in high indexed journals and monographs, improve research skills.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications
- MSc or MScEng in chemistry,
- research experience in radiochemistry, radiological protection, dosimetry, atomic law,
- Radiation Protection Expert qualifications or intention to acquire RPE qualifications,
- scientific achievements published in the reviewed journals and conferences proceedings specified in the registry of the Ministry of Education and Science,
- experience in working in accredited radiochemical laboratory (ISO 17025),
- practical knowledge in working with open and sealed radioactive sources,
- practical knowledge of research techniques and instrumentation used in radiochemistry, in particular:
- gamma spectrometry;
- alpha spectrometry;
- radiochemical determination of the concentration of isotopes of plutonium (especially in bottom sediments);
- radiochemical determination of the concentration of isotopes of uranium,
- participation and lectures during national and international conferences,
- proficiency in Polish and English languages.
The candidates must conform to the conditions stated in the Research Institutes Law dated 30 April 2010 (L. g. 2010 no. 96 pos. 618 with amendments):
- qualifications stated in Law,
- full ability of legal action,
- has not been convicted of an intentional offence by a final court judgement,
- enjoys full public rights.

- document confirming the knowledge of English
- non-Polish citizens shall present the document confirming the knowledge of Polish language on at least C1 level,

Benefits
Working conditions and remuneration:
- Employment based on a full-time employment contract;
- The primary form of performing the duties of this position is laboratory work at the Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection (CLOR);
- Total remuneration at between 5500,- and 6000,- PLN gross per month. Remuneration includes: basic salary. Seniority allowance will be included.
