Senior Administrator (First Contact)

Are you experienced in providing an exceptional front of house service and leading on projects? Do you have a passion for student employability? The University’s Careers & Employability Service is seeking a well organised and flexible Senior Administrator.
The role will involve supporting students and graduates in their search for part-time work and other work experience both on and off campus with a focus on working with external employers to promote our services and increase the volume of opportunities, specifically part-time jobs, available to University of Sheffield students.
You will be required to liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders providing a professional image of the University and our department and a seamless experience for recruiters. The team works in a busy student facing space at the heart of campus and as a result the ideal candidate must be able to prioritise tasks and work efficiently yet accurately. You will have excellent administration and communication skills as well as a student centred approach to working in a fast paced and changing work environment. Ideally having experience or a keen interest in recruitment and student employment, with excellent customer service and data processing skills, candidates should enjoy working both independently and as part of a small team.
What You'll Do:
- Administration function: Provide timely and accurate administration to support recruitment and project work.
- Customer service: Provide excellent front line support for all stakeholders including students, graduates and employers.
- System knowledge: Work across multiple systems and demonstrate these to key users.
- Project Support: Provide support for big and small projects/ events that the team are responsible for.
