We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in shaping and delivering digital initiatives that improve business processes, systems and services across the University.

Job Description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as a trusted advisor between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping translate complex business needs into effective digital solutions. You will lead business analysis activities for large and complex initiatives, guide stakeholders through change, and contribute to improving business analysis practices across the organisation.

This role works closely with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the delivery of innovative, user-focused solutions.

In this role you will:

  • Lead business analysis activities for complex projects and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs and define user and system requirements
  • Analyse and redesign business processes to drive efficiency and improved outcomes
  • Develop business cases and provide advice on solution options and associated risks
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement across diverse business groups
  • Produce business models, process maps and other analysis artefacts to support decision-making
  • Monitor emerging technologies and contribute insights to inform digital strategy
  • Support the continuous improvement of business analysis methods, tools and capability
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring within project teams where required

About you

  • Extensive experience in business analysis within complex organisations
  • Strong capability in requirements gathering, process analysis and business modelling
  • Experience working across large transformation or technology projects using both Agile and plan-driven approaches
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into practical, technology-enabled solutions

What we can offer

This is a twelve-month fixed term, full-time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffth is a multi-site University, you may need to travel to other campus locations.

Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range

The full-time base salary will be HEW level 9 $132,655 - $137,398 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $155,206 - $160,755 per annum.
