Senior Clinical Therapist
The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks applications for a Clinical Therapist to join the Veterinary Medicine Administration team. The CVM Clinical Therapist reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Success. This position's primary role is to provide wellness/prevention programming, short term counseling, coaching, advising and individual crisis management for professional students with an emphasis on wellness and problem prevention for personal and professional success. Assesses the need for and conducts and evaluates psychoeducational workshops and individual and organizational wellness programs. Assists with individual workplace coaching for faculty, staff and graduate students in the areas of communication, team building and feedback. Networks and markets service availability and assesses and addresses stigma and barriers to seeking services. Participates in professional development and continuing education activities and consults with university personnel as needed. May participate in admissions, recruitment, and teaching and learning initiatives with an emphasis on wellness and health promotion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- State of Ohio Independent licensure in professional discipline required (Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Psychologist).
- Independent licensure is required.
- Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or Master's Level Degree in Counselor Education, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
- Minimum of 1-year experience providing psychotherapy, diagnostic assessment and outreach.
- Considerable clinical casework experience in therapy.
- Three years of counseling experience with adult populations in a university counseling center, mental health agency, or related professional setting required.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience preferred creating and presenting well-being events and workshops.
- Outcomes measurement and program assessment.
- Specialized training in work with trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
- Experience in the career, academic and interpersonal development of academically high achieving adults.
Target Salary Range: $62,600.00 - $78,250.00 per year; commensurate with experience, internal equity, the units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
