Reporting to the Manager, Prospect Development and Insight, the position of Senior Coordinator, Prospect Development and Insight supports the development and implementation of prospect research and donor intelligence to further La Trobe University’s philanthropic goals. It does this by engaging in research, analysis, and management of high-value prospects, enabling effective engagement and fundraising outcomes. The role also contributes to prospect development planning, compliance, and reporting.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Support the development and implementation of best-practise prospect research methodologies, insights and models.
• Undertake in-depth and data-driven research to identify, qualify and prioritise prospective donors across high net-worth individuals, Trusts and Foundations and corporate partners, aligned with organisational strategic priorities.
• Develop and maintain advanced donor intelligence profiles, tailored briefings, and due diligence recommendations.
• Collaborate on the optimisation of prospect portfolios and prospect pipeline (Moves Management) reporting.
• Maintain and refine the accurate and timely integration of data into the donor management system (Blackbaud CRM).
• Ensure compliance with privacy legislation and data governance standards.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of prospect research tools and methodologies, and in the evaluation and interpretation of information.
• Demonstrated understanding of fundraising, ideally within the Higher Education context.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to ability to synthesise complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• High level of intellectual curiosity and persistence, with a proactive approach to sourcing and evaluating information.
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Blackbaud CRM or equivalent platforms), and the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g. Word, Excel).
• Discretion in dealing with sensitive donor data and ideally, an understanding of data privacy legislation and compliance frameworks.
