About the opportunity
The Library at the University of Sydney is looking for a motivated Senior Digital Services Specialist to join their Digital Services team. The Digital Services team manages the critical digital technologies and infrastructure to support library collections and services to meet the University’s teaching, learning and research goals.
This role will be an exciting opportunity to bring your interest in new and emerging technologies to a future-focused team. You will provide operational management of library digital services and platforms, and identify, develop and implement opportunities for improvement through expertise and engagement with colleagues in the Library, University, and externally. You will mentor and work with team members to ensure services meet client needs within a framework of standards and compliance.
About you
- experience working in a similar role within a complex organisation (Higher Education or library experience highly desirable)
- expertise providing operational management of library systems and platforms (e.g. Alma, Primo, OpenAthens, Springshare, Figshare, AEM)
- strong technical problem-solving skills and focus on continuous improvement for systems and services
- strong communication and collaboration skills working with internal and external stakeholders
- takes initiative and can work autonomously and as part of a team
- enjoys learning, keeping up to date with technology, and sharing knowledge with colleagues
