- Remuneration: $111,341 to $120,557 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $94,084 to $101,872 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior HDR Operations Officer, Scholarships to join Office of Research Services, Research Portfolio, Academic Division.
As a Senior HDR Operations Officer, Scholarships, you are responsible for the provision of high-quality client services in all activities relating to higher degree by research scholarships, including support for advertising and developing new scholarship schemes, assisting with the selection of scholarship recipients, processing payment of scholarships to scholarship recipients and the recording and monitoring of fortnightly expenditure against scholarship budgets. You will work collaboratively with Graduate Research Centre staff, academic and professional staff, current and potential students, external organisations, and members of the public.

The Graduate Research Centre (GRC) at QUT provides exceptional service and support to Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students. Through the provision of tailored support services, the GRC puts the student at the centre of what we do, striving to exceed the expectations of our HDR students and supervisors from admission through to graduation. The GRC includes two dedicated teams working collaboratively to provide seamless, client-focused, efficient and effective services to HDR students. The Client Services Team acts as the key point of contact and provides a high level of consistent service provision to support HDR students and supervisors during the entire student lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement of the student and client customer experience. The Admin Services Team delivers operational services, governance and support to ensure a streamlined student research journey..
What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience.
- Proven ability to administer the end-to-end lifecycle of scholarships including issuing offers, coordinating acceptance and commencement processes, processing leave and extensions, and maintaining correct financial and account coding.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Research Training Program policy contexts and experience in operationalising external and internal scholarship policies and procedures within a client-focused postgraduate administration environment, including interpretation of complex issues and provision of specialised advice.
- Demonstrated capability to apply university policies, manage competing deadlines, maintain precise records, and deliver high quality administrative support in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the broad administrative processes of HDR student administration and financial accounting.
- Established organisational skills and digital literacy including the ability to successfully utilise word processing software, spreadsheets, and large corporate databases such as TechnologyOne’s Student Administration Management System (SAMS), Studylink, and Business Objects.
