  • Fixed Term. part time appointment (to 31 December 2027. 14 hours per week, 0.4 FTE)
  • Level C: $148,771 - $167,785 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation + Clinical Loading (if eligible)

About the role

We are seeking a detail oriented Senior Lecturer to support the design, development, and quality assurance of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program assessments and teaching of curriculum in the Doctor of Medicine program. This teaching intensive role contributes to assessment development and focuses on review processes of assessment questions, particularly written examinations, and quality assurance related to assessment. The role includes following best practice guidelines for assessment question construction, review of assessment questions and working with other subject matter experts to develop questions. The role also provides oversight of assessment operations, in liaison with the Academic Lead: Assessment, to ensure high quality, well aligned assessment practices. The role contributes to teaching through Case Based Learning (CBL) facilitation and other learning activities. 

About you

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree or a medical or health professional qualification, with experience in medical education and assessment. A relevant disciplinary background and the ability to contribute to teaching in the MD program within an area of expertise are required. Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, and a sound understanding of quality assurance, data security and risk management are essential. The role requires a collaborative communicator who demonstrates a commitment to culturally respectful, inclusive, and safe work practices.

Special position requirements

  • If clinical Loading is offered: The occupant of this position must maintain ongoing clinical employment and be medically qualified with unconditional registration as a medical practitioner within NSW.
