This is an exciting opportunity for an academic ready to contribute expertise, leadership, and creativity to an expanding HCI community.

To Be Successful for this Position, You Will Have:

    • human aspects of digital safety
    • human-centric computing for social or environmental justice
Track record should include research outputs in high-quality HCI venues. All HCI traditions are welcome.
  • Some experience in research leadership, including the ability to build collaborative research teams, mentor academic staff, attract and secure external research funding, and manage funded research projects (including complex budgets and reporting requirements).
  • Experience supervising higher degree by research candidates to maximise research performance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, diversity and inclusion in teaching and research.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, prepare, and deliver large undergraduate and postgraduate courses relevant to RMIT School of Computing Technologies programs, including high-quality curriculum materials and innovative student-centred learning approaches.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a university.
  • Demonstrated high level of collegiality, including supporting junior team members, problem-solving collaboratively, and working effectively with diverse personalities and perspectives.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research to academic and non-academic audiences and communicate persuasively with a variety of stakeholders.
