About the Role
The Swinburne University AccessAbility Services team are looking for a Senior Liaison Officer, Accessibility and Inclusion to join their team.
Reporting under the broad direction of the Manager, Accessibility and Inclusion, the Senior Liaison Officer, Accessibility and Inclusion is a 12-month opportunity focused on strengthening Swinburne University of Technology’s organisational capacity and capability to support students living with disability. The role works closely with academic leaders, educators across schools and departments, the AccessAbility team, and other subject matter experts to identify and address barriers to student support. Through collaboration, process improvement, and policy development, the position contributes to creating a more accessible and inclusive learning environment across the University.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation pertaining to the rights of people living with disability and the responsibilities of educational institutions
- Demonstrated experience working with students varied stakeholders including educators, academics and with disabilities, medical and/or mental health conditions
- Experience in the development and implementation and delivery of effective processes and approaches to achieve student outcomes
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and implementing projects by utilising effective management principles of planning, resource allocation communication, documentation, evaluation and reporting

Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area for practice, such as project management, social work, education, public health, health promotion or related disciplines; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
