"Senior Licensed Practical Nurse"

Position Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Licensed Practical Nurse in the Cherry Hill Outpatient Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

The Senior Licensed Practical Nurse provides technical nursing care to child through adult populations; performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines; and provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Takes vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure on all patients and documents immediately in the EMR.
• Administers medications and parenteral therapy in accordance with established UBHC guidelines.
• Performs venipuncture as required.
• Collects and processes laboratory specimens.
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals in proper identification of patient before collecting

Minimum Education and Experience

Three (3) years of relevant experience as an LPN
