About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Senior Administration Officer to support the effective and efficient operation of the Student and Academic Administration team in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
In this role, you will provide high-level support on a range of student and academic administration functions for the efficient operation of the school’s teaching and learning activities. This position is responsible for the supervision of student administration staff in the school office, including the management of workloads, under the direction of the Manager, Academic Programs and Student Support.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide high-level advice and administrative expertise on student and academic administration matters, including interpretation and application of University policies and procedures.
Coordinate and support key teaching and learning processes, including course offerings, examinations, academic misconduct and student grievance matters, and governance committee administration.
Respond to complex and non-routine inquiries and guide others in the application of a range of management information systems
Contribute to the development and review of School guidelines and procedures relating to coursework program and student administration.

About You
A relevant degree combined with substantial experience in student and academic administration, ideally within a complex tertiary or public sector environment.
Strong capability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures related to teaching and learning, or the ability to rapidly develop this expertise.
Highly collaborative, demonstrated leadership skills and providing direction, working effectively with peers and cross‑functional teams in a corporate environment.
Confident interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and build effective relationships with academic and professional stakeholders.
Highly developed organisational and coordination skills, enabling the management of competing priorities and deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability, with sound judgement when responding to complex and non-routine matters.
Proficiency in administrative systems and the MS Office suite, with adaptability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
