Salary Range: Starting at $53,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary

The Senior Program Coordinator, Career-Engaged Learning will design, coordinate, and assess high-impact experiential learning programs including internships, externships, micro-internships, service-learning, and employer-led projects. The role involves developing employer partnerships, collaborating with faculty, supporting students' career preparation, and tracking outcomes aligned with career readiness projects. This role is responsible for all phases of program development and coordination of program activities.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Administers, coordinates and participates in assigned programs or projects, including budgeting, scheduling, marketing, training, and evaluating programs.
  2. Develops and implements standards for attaining program goals and objectives.
  3. Maintains frequent interaction with departments, special groups, and external agencies in administering programs.
  4. Plan, schedule, coordinate and assess the implementation of experiential learning programs (internships, externships, co-ops, job-shadowing, employer projects).
  5. Build and maintain employer partnerships; collaborate with academic departments and other university offices and faculty to support students.
  6. Processing student documentation/paperwork for internship approval and related inquiries.
  7. Oversees daily activities for assigned programs and projects, including facilitating career-engaged learning events and managing program logistics, budgets, and compliance requirements.
  8. Coordinates workshops on resumes, interviewing, career planning, match students to opportunities and support throughout the experience.
  9. Facilitates the development of new partnerships for various programs.
  10. Evaluates and reports on program results.
  11. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
  12. Coordinates staff training and development.
  13. Determines work priorities.
  14. Works on special projects as assigned.
  15. Participates in professional seminars and meetings.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in program administration or coordination.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in program development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment.
  • Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
  • Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
