Senior Program Coordinator, Eller Economic Development
Position Highlights
The Senior Program Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the outreach mission of Eller Economic Development, the executive and professional education arm of the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. This position leads the recruitment, admission, and ongoing management of participants for executive economic development programs, including the LR Executive Economic Development Program.
Serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and enrolled participants, the Senior Program Coordinator oversees end-to-end program operations-from enrollment and participant engagement to logistics, course delivery, and faculty coordination. The role works closely with the Eller faculty lead to ensure high-quality program execution, effective participant management, and continuous improvement.
Operating with a high degree of independence, this position balances strategic collaboration with hands-on program administration, supporting faculty leadership while ensuring a seamless, high-impact learning experience for executive participants.
This position is Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) up to 6 months with a potential for continuation based on funding and job performance.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads end-to-end recruitment, assessment, admission, and ongoing management of participants for Eller Executive Economic Development outreach programs.
- Manages application and enrollment processes, including participant assessment, record maintenance, and compliance with program criteria and standards.
- Oversees program logistics related to participant engagement and program delivery.
- Maintains accurate participant records and program documentation.
- Administers certificate processes, including determining eligibility for completion.
- Coordinates the awarding and presentation of certificates to program graduates.
- Coordinates closely with the Eller faculty lead and participating faculty to support effective course delivery and overall outreach program quality.
- Oversees quality assurance activities and ensures alignment with outreach program standards.
- Monitors participant attendance, engagement, and performance; addresses issues related to logistics, conduct, or program expectations as they arise.
- Recruits, coordinates, and supervises volunteers supporting outreach program operations.
- Manages participant, faculty, and program evaluations to support assessment and continuous improvement.
- Tracks and documents participant outcomes and program achievements to ensure accurate reporting, data management and compliance with program requirements.
- Maintains program data and records in accordance with university and outreach program standards.
- Prepares reports, summaries, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinates with Eller Economic Development leadership to support outreach, engagement, and program visibility.
- Contributes to external representation and promotion of outreach programs, including media and communications support.
- Plans, evaluates, and conducts process improvement activities for future program cohorts.
- Handles media promotion.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of non-traditional education, community outreach, and economic development program administration.
- Knowledge of participant recruitment, cohort-based program management, and certificate-based programming.
- Knowledge of program quality assurance, evaluation practices, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of data tracking, documentation, and reporting in a higher education outreach environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate programs, timelines, and multiple stakeholders.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with participants, faculty, volunteers, and leadership.
- Skills in managing program logistics, resolving issues, and supporting program delivery.
- Skills in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with a faculty lead and program leadership.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in assessing participant engagement, performance, and eligibility for certification.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in participant recruitment, program coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience with data tracking, reporting, and quality assurance.
