The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with the Principal Investigator to carry out all research related activities of the study including but not limited to assisting with data requests, survey development, data collection, data entry and analysis;
  • Closely working with the Principal Investigator, Project Director and other researchers to ensure all necessary data are obtained from multiple sources;
  • Performing data collection including maintaining recruitment materials and assisting with survey implementation efforts, as well as providing support to ongoing data management efforts;
  • Developing strategies to recruit study subjects for participation in activities and data collection;
  • Administrative project tasks including developing educational materials (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, consent forms, Qualtrics/REDCap surveys, etc.), convening meetings, and keeping the projects moving on a day-to-day basis;
  • Working with the Principal Investigator and Project Manager to ensure compliance with all federal and university requirements, including the submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, modifications, and renewals;
  • Monitoring project timelines, ensuring project progress, and assisting the Principal Investigator with the project developments, including implementing changes as needed;
  • Providing support with dissemination activities such as literature reviews, and the preparing/formatting of manuscripts and presentations;
  • Preparing study progress reports for sponsored projects;
  • Overseeing part-time graduate student research assistants on day-to-day activities including assigning tasks and training;
  • Working with research associates and research coordinators and assisting with day-to-day activities including training and assigning tasks;
  • Communicating with Co-Investigators, Consultants, and Vendors to move the project forward;
  • Escalating issues to the Principal Investigator in a timely manner;
  • Coordinating, leading, and documenting research-related meetings;
  • Available nights and weekends as needed; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned

This is a grant-funded position and employment is contingent upon continued funding.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience plus three (3) years of related experience
  • Interest in the development of health information technology and/or public health.
  • The successful incumbent will possess computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS/SAS/R/STATA.
  • The ability to organize and perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • This role requires the ability to communicate with interdisciplinary colleagues at all staff and leadership levels related to program planning.
  • Working knowledge of REDCap, Qualtrics and EndNote.
  • Experience with vulnerable populations and certified training in HIPAA Compliance and Human Subjects protection is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • The successful incumbent should have an established record of working with confidential data and maintaining confidentiality, privacy, and integrity in professional interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Previous grants management or project coordinator experience preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
