Your next career opportunity
You will coordinate and enhance examination processes, with a strong focus on data and Alternative Exam Arrangements. You will collaborate with students, faculties and partners to deliver accurate timetables, smooth events and responsive support.
What you will deliver:
- Coordinate examinations data, timetables and system inputs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with regulations and policies.
- Work closely with Student Equity, Campus Services and exam supervisors to meet venue, equipment and AEA requirements.
- Respond to complex staff and student enquiries about exams, taking ownership and resolving or escalating appropriately.
- Contribute to exam and graduation event operations, including incident reporting, peak-period coverage and out-of-hours support.
- Analyse examination data and feedback to identify trends, inform reporting and recommend continuous service improvements.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold an undergraduate qualification or bring equivalent experience in administration, student services or related fields.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and confidence adapting quickly to new systems.
- Bring experience in student-facing roles, providing empathetic support and understanding of accessibility or Alternative Exam Arrangements.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, remaining flexible for intensive exam periods and required out-of-hours work.
- Communicate effectively in writing and in person, including drafting guidelines and contributing to training materials.
- Collaborate positively within cross-functional teams, building productive relationships with academic, professional and external stakeholders.

Your new team – Graduations & Exams
This role sits within the Exams & Graduations team, which works to align systems and data, operations and event logistics to deliver high quality events on behalf of the University. The key deliverables include Examinations, Graduation Ceremonies, and Melbourne Commencement Celebrations.
Exams take place across 6 annual periods, including afterhours and weekend work during:
- Summer and Summer Supplementary (Supps) period (Feb-March);
- Semester 1 (Main and Supps (June – July);
- Semester 2 (Main and Supps (Nov - Dec).
In person Graduations occur bi-annually, with ~10 ceremonies held in August and ~25 in December.
Commencement Celebrations are held over a 5-day period in February.
