Senior Teaching Fellow/Teaching Fellow (Criminology/Crime Sciences Discipline) in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences [Ref. C/903/09]
Duties
- Make significant contributions to teaching of criminology and crime science courses (including supervision of students’ research/capstone projects) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Act as programme leader/course leaders, contributing to the planning and development of courses and study programmes of the Department;
- Undertake teaching and teaching-related duties, as well as learning support and professional activities to enhance student learning experiences;
- Contribute to professional engagement, networking, and outreach activities that enhance the academic and professional reputation of the Department; and
- Perform administrative duties as required by the Head of Department.
Requirements
A post-graduate degree in Criminal Justice or related disciplines, with relevant experiences in policing/security-related practices or risk management settings. Expertise in criminal investigation and public order management will be an asset for consideration.
Candidates for Senior Teaching Fellow should have substantial professional experience, expertise and highly recognisable achievements in the field, and a record of teaching and administration.
Candidates for Teaching Fellow should have relevant professional experience and expertise in the field, with experience in teaching and administration.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
