Biomedical Services (BMS) supports world-leading research at the University of Oxford by providing high-quality care for laboratory animals across multiple facilities. Our work is carried out in line with the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and is underpinned by a strong commitment to animal welfare and scientific excellence.
We are looking for two Service Area Support Assistant to join our team based on the Old Road Campus, Headington. This is a vital, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of our animal facilities. You’ll be a key part of the service team, helping to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Your responsibilities will include, operating specialist equipment such as cage washers and autoclaves, support stock management and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
You may occasionally be asked to support other facilities within BMS during periods of staff shortage (e.g. annual leave).
This employment is full-time, permanent, 36.5 hours per week. We are advertising these posts as full-time positions.
