General Summary

The Simulation Specialist will assist the Simulation Coordinator in leading and overseeing all simulation planning, scheduling, and performance. Assist with the technology and equipment specification and narrow focus.

Specific Position Duties

• Assists Sim Lab Coordinator in scheduling the use of the laboratory learning space for all health science programs at Odessa College
• Secures all learning resources needed in the simulation cases; collaborates with Simulation Coordinator, and faculty on supplies and resources required for operating the lab learning; skilled at managing all fidelity simulation.
• Attends necessary required trainings to advance knowledge in operations of Sim Hospital technology.
• Assist Simulation Coordinator in maintaining all inventories consumable and capital.
• The Simulation Specialist is directly supervised by the Simulation Coordinator and works closely with the Health Science program Directors, faculty, staff and Health Science Dean.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree required
• Current LVN, RN, or EMT certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare experience preferred; Simulation experience preferred.
