Position Summary:

UNC Horizons seeks an Outpatient Justice-involved Therapist to provide gender and trauma-responsive treatment for pregnant, parenting women, and single women impacted by substance use disorders, co-occurring diagnoses, violence, and the justice-involved system. This position will increase the clinical need to support women and their families interfacing with pre-trial, diversion, child protective services, and justice-involved interactions and work within the larger Horizons SUD and Justice-Involved interdisciplinary group. The primary duties include facilitating comprehensive in-person and telehealth co-occurring clinical assessments to diagnose substance use and mental health diagnoses and developing a clinical recommendation using the ASAM Risk Rating Scale and LOCUS Tool to identify the appropriate level of treatment. Additionally, this person will work within a multidisciplinary team with diversion and treatment courts to ensure clients/families are connected to care.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Prior experience or working knowledge with treating vulnerable populations, women, and/or family interventions.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Degree in a Human Services discipline and a clinical license: LMFT, LCAS, LCSW, or LCMHC or a provisional license of any of the mentioned licenses.
