The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care, University of California Irvine Health System, anticipates openings in the Specialist Series (Junior, Assistant, Associate, and Full Specialist). The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated. This is an ongoing recruitment. Rank will be determined by qualifications and experience. Renewal is based on availability of extramural funding.
- Junior Specialists: Appointees should possess a baccalaureate degree or equivalent research experience.
- Assistant Specialists: Appointees should possess a master's degree or five years of experience demonstrating expertise.
- Associate Specialists: Appointees should possess a master's degree or five to ten years of experience, with a record of academic accomplishments.
- Specialists: Appointees should possess a terminal degree or ten or more years of experience, with a significant record of academic accomplishments.
Basic Qualifications: Candidates must possess a BA/BS, Masters, PhD or MD/PhD degree by the proposed start date.

Salary range: A reasonable estimate for this position is $55,000-$194,800. See the Specialist Series Salary Scales Table for details.
