Job Description
The Student Support Specialist for Apprenticeship Programs provides direct support to students enrolled in CSN's apprenticeship pathways. This role ensures apprentices receive guidance, resources, and advocacy to successfully navigate academic requirements, workplace expectations, and career development opportunities. The specialist also plays a key role in supporting student enrollment to strengthen program accessibility and completion.
Requires occasional travel to employer sites and community events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 year of related professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in education from an accredited college/university.
- 1 year experience in apprenticeships and/or Counseling.
The duties, knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Experience in student advising, workforce programs, apprenticeship coordination, or enrollment services.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and employers.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet constant/multiple deadlines.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Make decisions and take actions independently for a variety of diverse situations.
- Show a high degree of creativity and initiative.
Starting Salary Range
Administrative Faculty B - The starting salary is $44,756.
This position is grant funded and contingent upon ongoing and available funding.
