OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Specialty Lab Technician III - Fine Arts - Ceramics the Incumbent Operate and repair a wide variety of specialized equipment related to ceramics including mixers, pug mills, wheels, gas and electric kilns, kiln controllers, relays, kiln elements and hand and power tools; perform repairs and adjustments as needed. Research and document glaze experiments to develop recipes for color, texture and adherence; test glazes using a variety of firing temperatures and techniques. Prepare and maintain various records and reports related to glaze experimentation, inventory, budget, equipment and personnel. Must have knowledge in clay and glaze chemistry, welding, kiln construction and repair. $25.41 - $31.79 Hourly
$4,405.00 - $5,510.00 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($25.41 per hour) or B ($26.88 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination equivalent to:
EDUCATION: Two years college-level training with specialized course work in specialized area
EXPERIENCE: Two years of related experience. Work experience in the use of computer hardware and software troubleshooting for area of assignment.
