Qualifications:

SPSY 762 - Research methods & Program Evaluation (3 units)

Tuesdays 4:15-7pm

Course Description: SPSY 762 has three primary goals: Help students become skilled and critical consumers of education and psychological research; encourage school psychologists to base their work on inquiry and reflection, or to become practitioner-researchers; and provide the tools to prepare students to conduct program evaluations of intervention effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • MA, ABD, or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or School Psychology
  • A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, multicultural/international competence, social justice, clinical expertise, and familiarity with counseling & psychological theory and practice is highly preferred
  • 2+ Publications using a variety of research methodologies in ranked journals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or School Psychology
  • A successful record of teaching experience at the graduate level in school psychology is highly preferred
  • Credentialed school psychologist in the state of California with a minimum of 3 years experience as a practicing school psychologists
