The Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University seeks applications for a one-semester part-time Adjunct instructor to teach an Upper level seminar course discussing statistical analyses during the Spring 2026. The course is titled Data Science for Neuroscience and Psychology and the course description is as follows: This course will cover advanced topics in statistics and experimental design necessary for applied research in modern psychology, including information design, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, nonparametric statistics, data and inference errors (multicollinearity, overfitting, Simpson's and Robinson's paradox), sanitization (data anonymization, de-identification), and linear models (including conditional process models). Students will get hands on experience with simulating, analyzing, and visualizing data in the R statistical environment.

- One on one training
- Providing feedback
- Grading
- Communicating with students and administrators
Qualifications:
Ph.D. is required
