Leads or primarily supports various donor-centric stewardship functions, communications, initiatives, and events.

  1. Maintain stewardship communications. This may include, but is not limited to, letters, reports, personal correspondence, gift listings, and audiovisual communications. In partnership with Assistant Director of Stewardship, Acknowledgements, and Reporting, produce presidential acknowledgement letters in tandem with prospect managers. Collaborate with OIA, Marketing & Communications, and other campus colleagues, at the direction of the Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, on top-tier stewardship pieces for benefactors. Contribute to the annual endowment reporting process in data management and coordination of print materials. Assist with annual reporting lists for publications such as the impact report and the alumni magazine. (25%)
  2. Collaborate on the stewardship of benefactor-supported funds to ensure confidence with investment impact. Lead the annual Student Thank You note project in collaboration with Advancement Services and the Office of Financial Aid to produce over 400 thank you notes. Create and produce an annual video message of gratitude to benefactors. Facilitate one-on-one meetings between student recipients and their benefactors both in person and via email/video. (25%)
  3. Serve as the lead collaborator on CRM data management to ensure accuracy in all stewardship efforts and produce in memorial and honorary gift reporting. Work with Advancement Services colleagues on gift processing, gift society coding, contact reports, and list requests. Update endowed fund data as needed. Utilize advanced Excel skills to complete comprehensive data manipulation from CRM outputs. (20%)
  4. Establish and maintain a log of both named spaces and naming opportunities on campus. Work with prospect managers, along with the Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations, to identify potential opportunities to propose to benefactors. Supervise the condition of these named spaces and coordinate any of the necessary annual campus updates to be sure they remain in satisfactory condition. Collaborate with vendors for newly created spaces and assist in dedications. Collaborate with Alumni Relations and Annual Giving on named spaces for Reunion classes and specifically for Reunion Weekend. Monitor anniversary dates to communicate impact/and celebrate with benefactors as well as the campus community. (15%)
  5. Oversee the coding of giving societies in OIA CRM with particular sensitivity to benefactors who wish to remain anonymous. Monitor the list for benefactors who approach the 1917 society level and keep prospect managers informed. In partnership with the Assistant Director of Donor Relations, draft and send presidential notification letters for 1917 society. Assist with stewardship of these societies such as annual/semi-annual presidential and/or St. Dominic Society stewardship touchpoints, Harkins Society events, or special events. (10%)
  6. Serve as a donor relations representative for a variety of on- and off-campus events, ensuring a positive guest experience, while also acting as the liaison for the P2P Scholars program - coordinating with Principal Gifts, the Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, and the Chirico Career Center. Responsibilities include communicating with Scholars as needed, organizing donor-Scholar meetups and events, drafting/updating P2P collateral, and facilitating programmatic support. (5%)

MARGINAL DUTIES:

  1. Perform all other duties as may be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum of two to four years' relevant experience in fundraising/stewardship and/or a combination of education and experience
  • Excellent time and project management skills with strong attention to detail, donor-centric focus, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to independently problem-solve, think strategically, and be pro-active
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal/written, communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with benefactors and volunteers
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Teams, Excel, Word, etc.) with an emphasis on Excel skills
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Canva
  • CRM platform experience such as Banner or Affinaquest
