Job Description
The Director of Strength and Conditioning is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for the Department of Athletics and its student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in related field;
- Credentialing from National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA);
- CPR/First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and management skills;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Flexible schedule;
- Thorough knowledge of strength and conditioning programs;
- Well-rounded knowledge of a wide variety of sports.

Job Duties
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
- Develop, implement and supervise the strength and conditioning programs for each sport program at the University;
- Participate in efforts to collect, analyze and report data for the athletic department in the University s planning, assessment, and evaluation processes for institutional effectiveness;
- Assist in the production of outcomes-assessment and long range planning for the athletic department;
- Maintain an inventory and order equipment and supplies as needed for proper maintenance of the weight room facilities;
- Maintain the excellent condition of the weight room facilities;
- Prepare and submit a proposed budget to the Athletic Director;
- Participate in various fundraising activities for the program and the Department;
- Adhere to all NCAA and South Atlantic Conference rules;
- Complete all required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports as necessary for the operation and advancement of the University;
- Teach up to 6 credit hours of appropriate University and/or JFWA courses, the equivalent thereof;
- Other assignments and duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
