Student Assistant
Position Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Student Assistant to work in the Department of Rehabilitation & Movement Science.
The Student Assistant will assist faculty with classroom, records, and assignments. This individual will also be lead discussion sections, meet with students during office hours, and conduct conferences with students individually or in small groups. Additionally, the Student Assistant will assist with organizing and maintaining the equipment and materials needed for courses.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Assist faculty with classroom, records, and assignments.
- Lead discussion sections, meeting with students during office hours, conferencing with students individually or in small groups.
- Organize and maintain equipment and materials needed for courses.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Must be a Rutgers student, must have good academic standing, without any C grades, warnings, or probation, and must demonstrate excellent professional behavior.
- Must be enrolled in the OTD program.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing.
- No special vision requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Working with multiple students in a busy environment and multi-tasking while being empathetic yet helping students to meet the standards for coursework.
