- Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
- Open to: Current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. In support of our strategic priority of Indigenous Australian success, Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people who are not QUT staff are also eligible and encouraged to apply. Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Student Fees and Progression Analyst to join Student Administration, People Services, Administrative Division.
The Student Fees and Progression Analyst is responsible for managing tuition fee publishing, configuration and revenue disbursement in accordance with policy and legislation, ensuring quality and data integrity of fee transactions. This role assists with fee setting, developing reports, system upgrades, and supports the Student Fees and Progression team with complex issues and process improvements. This position requires strong analytical capability, advanced digital literacy and the ability to interpret and apply legislative and policy requirements in a complex operating environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented and client-focused, with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration and delivering high-quality outcomes that support student success and institutional compliance.

The Student Administration department makes a key contribution to the delivery of student services that span the student lifecycle: admission, enrolment, billing and invoicing, timetable management and class registration, examinations, results, records management, progression and graduation. The department supports international, domestic and research higher degree students, in collaboration with specialist service partners across the university.
What you need to succeed
1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in Accounting, with subsequent relevant experience.
2. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including the interpretation and application of legislation, policy and accounting principles.
3. Advanced digital literacy skills, including demonstrated ability to successfully use spreadsheets and large corporate systems to configure, gather and interrogate data to enhance business outcomes.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience providing high quality, client-focused service to a large and diverse client group including the ability to coordinate, consult and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
5. Proven ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team with the capacity to use initiative, plan and prioritise workload within tight and conflicting deadlines.
6. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture that is committed to the continuous improvement and innovation of processes and services, including experience in creating, planning, and implementing business process improvements.
