Student Language Lab Assistant - Federal Work Study

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Language Labs department on the Cumming campus. Under the supervision of the Language Lab Coordinator, the assistant supports Spanish 1001/1002 students by facilitating workshops, assisting with lab assignments, and providing tutoring and speaking practice. The assistant also helps students navigate language-learning technologies and course-related projects. Additional duties include administrative tasks to ensure the lab operates smoothly.

Responsibilities

• The student's duties include assessing Spanish lab activities and workshop submissions, assisting students with Spanish and technology questions related to lab assignments, and providing tutoring and conversation practice as needed.
• The assistant also helps maintain a clean and welcoming lab environment and completes special projects or tasks as requested by faculty or the Language Lab Coordinator.
