Student Recruitment Officer (2 Positions)
About the role
The University of Leicester is looking for two enthusiastic and motivated UK Student Recruitment Officers to join our Future Students Office. These roles will be regionally focused one individual will be based in the Midlands and the other in London, driving student recruitment and outreach activity across key UK markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of our student community — engaging directly with prospective students, schools, colleges, and key influencers to promote higher education opportunities and the University of Leicester experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and delivering regional student recruitment plans aligned to strategic targets
- Building and managing relationships with schools, colleges, and key partners
- Representing the university at exhibitions, events, and presentations (150+ per year)
- Delivering engaging talks on higher education, student life, and admissions
- Supporting major recruitment events such as Open Days and Offer Holder Days
- Analysing market trends and student data to inform recruitment strategies
- Contributing to marketing campaigns, communications, and outreach activities

About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting young people in their journey to higher education.
The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) and experience working within schools, colleges, or higher education, particularly in a student-facing delivery role. You will have a strong understanding of the UK higher education landscape, including admissions processes and student finance as well as experience delivering multi-day sessions in schools and colleges across a large geographical area.
You’ll be a confident presenter, comfortable delivering engaging sessions to large and varied audiences including students, parents, and educators. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to build lasting relationships and influence key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Highly organised and self-motivated, you will be able to manage multiple priorities, plan and deliver regional activity, and work independently while contributing to wider team goals. You will also be comfortable using data and insight to evaluate performance and improve outcomes.
A full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively are essential for this role.
