Student Success Coach
Implement a proactive and holistic coaching model to guide students throughout their time at Meredith College; develop and maintain connection/communication with a cohort of students through targeted, preemptive, and continuous outreach; and support the student experience in an effort to increase student satisfaction, retention, success, and degree completion.
Duties:
- Provide academic, personal, and co-curricular coaching/advising to undergraduate students through one-on-one meetings, group appointments, and intentional phone and email communications
- Serve as recovery coach to those on academic recovery (probation) by developing and implementing an accountability plan through required meetings and workshops
- Provide basic academic planning support, assisting first-year students with course planning, course selection, the registration process, and navigating general education requirements in collaboration with Faculty Advisors
- Engage students through a schedule of targeted activities (workshops) and communications (newsletters), called touchpoints, aimed to increase student connectedness
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to proactively engage students with campus activities and other opportunities.
- Support the office in planning and facilitating numerous student and enrollment events, including Summer yield events, Orientation, Student Advisor Selection and Training, and First Year Registration
- Help plan, attend and promote events hosted by campus partners to encourage, celebrate and support first year students
- Facilitate communication between various resources (e.g. Learning Center, Office of Career Planning, faculty advising, Office of Academic Advising, StrongPoints®, Disability Services, Counseling Center, Financial Assistance, etc.) to promote team-based student support
- Utilize emerging technologies for maintaining contact with students and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies as opportunities arise.
- Stay current on and inform students of institutional policy, new programs, course changes, important dates, and other pertinent student life data

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required
- Previous experience working with students in transition or higher education preferred
- Dedication and excitement to supporting student success
