Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Student Success Project Coordinator (Equity) to join Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.

The Student Success Project Coordinator (Equity) will coordinate the investigation, design and development of a Student Success Advisory Model to be piloted in Semester 1, 2027. The role will focus on improving retention and success for priority learner cohorts by identifying early indicators of non-engagement and enabling timely, proactive outreach.

SSTA is a large section within LTU employing more than 120 academic, professional and sessional staff, and student partners..

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and /or experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience in a field related to student engagement, transition and success.
  2. Demonstrated experience coordinating diverse student cohort supports, including equity groups, and an understanding of the issues affecting adult learners, retention and success in higher education.
  3. Demonstrated ability to interpret and evaluate literature reviews, analyse data, synthesise insights, coordinate projects, and develop evidence-based recommendations to achieve ongoing improvements.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, academic staff, professional staff and external partners, with a commitment to social justice and culturally safe practice.
  5. Highly effective written, verbal and digital communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops, manage interview processes, and prepare high quality reports, presentations and digital resources.
  6. Proven effectiveness as a team member with a flexible approach to change, and the ability to respond to shifting project needs and emerging priorities.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
