This is a busy role providing vital administrative support to the Henley Business School Student Support team, who support the needs of a diverse student body including undergraduate, postgraduate, international, post experience, and apprenticeship students.

As a Student Support Administrator, you will play a key role in assisting the team by handling a variety of tasks. These include responding to general student enquiries, processing requests for suspensions, withdrawals, and transfers, managing email extension requests, taking minutes at student meetings, and preparing letters to support authorised absences. You will also be responsible for collating and recording data in the Academic Engagement process and liaising with the School Director of Academic Tutoring and Departmental Directors of Academic Tutoring to arrange relevant support meetings and interventions.

You will also provide broader administrative support to the Student Support Coordinator and the Student Advice and Support Manager.

You will be part of a busy team with a high pace of workload and a range of different tasks so will need to be comfortable with managing a varied and busy workload.

You will have:

  • Excellent administrative skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Experience of working within a University environment.
  • Experience of processes for identifying and supporting at risk students with poor academic engagement
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills in person, by phone and in writing.
  • The ability to respond to a range of circumstances with empathy and resilience.
  • Proven ability to maintain complex administrative processes.
  • Sensitivity and an understanding of data protection and confidentiality in a Higher Education context.
  • Experience of working with student databases, ideally on a SITS based platform

The University is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce, supports the gender equality Athena SWAN Charter and the Race Equality Charter, and champions LGBT+ equality.
