Studio Art - Printmaking Lecturer
Position Summary
The Department of Art and Design at Central Michigan University is seeking a printmaking faculty to cover teaching during a sabbatical. This position is a three-quarter time appointment for one semester, beginning January 8, 2026. Benefits (including medical insurance) and retirement contributions provided.
Responsibilities:
- Teach three courses in the spring 2026 semester: one introductory, one intermediate, one silkscreen course.
- Manage and maintain printmaking studio facilities and equipment.
- Manage printmaking area budget with assistance from department chair.
Required Qualifications:
- MFA in Printmaking, Studio Art, or closely related field.
- Successful college teaching experience for a minimum of one-year, full-time (or the equivalent).
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to teach all levels of traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques.
- Experience with studio management.
