The mission of the Idaho 4-H program is to help youth acquire knowledge, life skills, and attitudes that enhance their lives. This position will address our mission by providing support for the 4-H youth development programming in Blaine County, confirming program is reaching all clientele. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with youth, parents, 4-H volunteers, and community partners to ensure the continued support for afterschool/enrichment 4-H activities, STEM focused camps, summer day camps, and community 4-H clubs. This position will also assist with and provide support for the organization/operation of county 4-H/Youth summer activities and events including educational presentations, education days, overnight camps, and day Camps. The 4-H Summer assistant will also provide support with the county fair and livestock events. Hours are flexible but must meet programming needs and will most often be 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with some evenings and weekends required. This position is directly supervised the Blaine County 4-H Educator. The position is located at the University of Idaho Blaine County Extension Office. Person must have reliable transportation to meet all program needs.
