Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. gathers clean and sterile supplies. sets sterile instrument fields. maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. assists with the orientation of new staff. and participates on departmental committees. What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility
• Current Surgical Tech certification and Current BLS certification required.
• Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
