Victoria University TAFE (VU TAFE) is the vocational education division of Victoria University which offers job ready qualifications, upskilling and reskilling for existing workers, pathways to further studies, workforce development and exposure to real-life work skills. VU TAFE offers nationally accredited qualifications from Certificate I – IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma as well as Higher Education Diplomas and Foundation Programs, short courses, and professional development for a diverse range of vocational fields. The TAFE offers English Language programs and VET programs for secondary school students.

About the Role:

As the TAFE Lead Educator and a key leader at VU TAFE, you will:

Drive Innovation - Lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge teaching and assessment strategies that use technology and flexible models to enhance student engagement and meet evolving industry needs.

Provide Education Leadership - Inspire and mentor teaching teams, foster a learner-centred and inclusive culture, and strengthen industry partnerships to create impactful workforce pathways.

Oversee Education Development - Ensure high-quality, compliant programs that are relevant to learners and industry, while supporting staff growth and promoting lifelong learning.

Drive Business and Industry Engagement - Build strong stakeholder partnerships, expand VU’s vocational education profile, and align programs with workforce demands to drive sustainable growth.

There are three positions available:

Position one is in the College of Trades, Technology and Hospitality

Position two is in the College of Health, Early Childhood Education and Community Services

Position three is in the Centre of VU Transition

Salary: $121,708 per annum

Employment Type: Full time Fixed term (2 years)

Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: Various campuses

Industry Engagement – Strong experience building and maintaining partnerships with industry, employers, and stakeholders to create pathways and growth opportunities.

Education Development Expertise – Skilled in developing high-quality, compliant programs, supporting staff growth, and promoting lifelong learning.

Results Orientation – Proven ability to deliver measurable impact through initiatives that enhance the student experience, strengthen industry relevance, and drive sustainable growth.

The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
