Location: Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118.
Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.
Job Summary
Responsible for full-cycle recruitment utilizing understanding of the university's campus partner needs, specific talent pools, and the innovation necessary to execute a talent acquisition strategy. Manages a high-volume requisition load, partnering within the university to execute employee branding and outreach. Assists with various program and project initiatives in the department. Develops and delivers training regarding the recruitment, selection and hiring process. Researches, reviews, and develops talent acquisition procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Full-cycle Recruiting: Collaborate with Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP) and campus partners to identify talent needs and plan effectively for current and future talent acquisition. Establish external networks and relationships to create a robust diverse pipeline not limited to job fairs, schools, trade schools and other applicable organizations. Work in partnership with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other employment details. Prepare job descriptions and post job openings through the institution's applicant tracking system and on external job boards. Participate in developing and implementing diversity and community recruiting initiatives. Maintain and promote university policies and procedures pertaining to the established recruitment process. Monitor applicant pools to assess viable candidates to fill vacant positions. Source potential candidates through recruitment sites, job boards, social platforms, as well as print media, posters, and flyers, when required. Actively research new sourcing ideas and methods, build creative sourcing strategies and make advertising venue recommendations. Collect and analyze key recruiting data, including but not limited time to fill and source hire.
Marketing Initiatives: Coordinate marketing activities including but not limited to; participating in job fairs, compilation of advertising materials, and developing cost-effective marketing strategies. Evaluate effectiveness of advertising dollars expended. Assist with local and national recruitment advertising.
Compliance, Records Retention, and Response: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Collect and maintain recruiting and search documentation. Respond to applicants, candidates, new employees and hiring managers related to recruiting activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree. Three or more years of demonstrated experience in human resources with an emphasis on talent acquisition.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree. Proficiency or experience working with Peoplesoft HCM system(s); PHR, SPHR or GPHR certification; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification; Talent Acquisition and/or recruiting experience.
Proposed Salary: $55,000.00-60,000.00 annually
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge: Knowledge of talent acquisition and full-cycle recruiting activities.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics. Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles. Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Abilities: Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles. Ability to partner and collaborate with managers and campus partners in the area of recruiting.
