About the Role
The Content & Engagement Project Officer plays a key role in developing content and engagement strategies within the Innovation and Enterprise group. This role involves managing communication activities, delivering events, and providing strategic advice to I&E leaders to foster stakeholder engagement and support research-led innovation and commercialisation. The position requires adaptability and collaboration with University stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader stakeholder strategies and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Produce and manage high-quality content for internal and external audiences, including presentations, brochures, and digital channels.
- Coordinate and oversee the creation of communications materials for various strategic disciplines, including social media, stakeholder engagement, and event management.
- Develop and execute integrated content and stakeholder engagement plans, while building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of proposals, business cases, and event marketing content, ensuring alignment with university policies and strategic objectives.
Who we are looking for
You will have a proven track record in creating high-quality content across various channels with a creative flair and up-to-date trend knowledge. You will demonstrate strong client service skills, influence outcomes, and effectively report on the team’s work in Innovation & Enterprise to senior stakeholders. You will be skilled in managing relationships, working autonomously, and translating complex messages for a business audience in a fast-paced environment.
You will also have:
- A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, business, or a related field, plus experience in content creation and engagement within a complex organisation.
- A combination of relevant experience and education/training equivalent to the above qualifications.
- You will have expertise in PowerPoint, experience with graphic design, and a background in event management.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
