"Adjunct Faculty Chemistry"

The Department of Chemical, Physical, & Forensic Sciences at Cedar Crest College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Introductory Chemistry laboratory courses (all taught on campus, in person).

We seek to recruit faculty prepared to teach our students, engage their curiosity, and inspire their persistence. The majority of Cedar Crest’s students – nearly ninety percent – are women. More than one-third are students of color, and almost forty percent are first-generation college students; they are diverse in gender, sexuality, ability, and religion. Our student population also includes learners from across the United States and abroad.

Qualifications

Adjunct faculty should have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in chemistry, or closely related field, and experience teaching at the undergraduate college level is strongly preferred. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate competency in using Canvas as a learning management system and guide students to complete experiments safely in the chemistry laboratory setting.
